My sister,28, had a stoke in sept...they have found that she had "multiple minor stokes." She has since been diagnosed with this disease,TTP has had a PLASMAPHERESIS, first one did not take, and is now having a second one done. Her doctor says it is a very rare disease, but has still not given her any information on it, has not tested any further, except for the new plasma, she has not received any test. She does not know anything about this disease and it has been a month of her being in the hospital. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Was going to go home on 10-2-99, but red blood count to low, received blood transfusion. Thank you.
