My daughter died three years ago of hantavirus. Very violent, tragic, and sad. She had just turned 21 one week before. As far a I know, either you catch it or you don't. By that I mean they know of no known reason for anyone person to be selected out by the virus. They use to think that another person could not contract the virus, such as CPR, of which I did to my daughter to try to revive her., I inhaled some of her fluids while doing CPR on her, but I have not gotten sick., So I think that no one really knows how it would affect a unborn child. I do know that the death rates are much higher than they are telling us. So if a mother was to contract the virus, and the baby was almost full term, they might be able to save the baby if they operate quick.
