I do have the same problem as your daughter, however, I am 46 years old. Have never worn a brace for that. I have not suffered from it at all in the past 46 years. Surgery is surgery and not always necessary. Please get another opinion. Perhaps I will have a problem later on with this, but the way I look at it - look how long I have gone without. Also bearing that in mind - I will tell you about the other unrelated surgeries that I have had - a spinal fusion (l5), a hip replacement - so it is not because I am afraid. Good luck!!
