shingles are very painfull. my father has them. he takes pain meds but that doesnt allways help. what he ended up doing that was helpfull was attending a pain management class. i went with him and they focased on ways of managing the cronic pain so it doesnt hamper your life. however he has them on his torso not his lower body.
