My father has had Polymyalgia Rheumatica for approx. 2 years. He was given a high dose of prednisilone (30g) and has gradually reduced this down to 7g. This has been done without the support of non-steroidal anti inflammatory drugs as he was unable to take them. However during the last few weeks he has been suffering with mild headaches every day. The doctor does not think he has temporal arteritis as his temples are not tender to the touch and the headaches are not severe. Has anyone else had this problem and if so what was the diagnosis? One thought is withdrawal symptoms because of the reduction in prednisilone. Can someone help please. Thank You.
