I really need to know the answer to this question...asap!! Can carpal tunnel syndrome recur even after having surgery?? I had surgery about 4-5 yrs ago on my right hand...which was successful at the time..and now I find I have similar symptoms...especially pain on the outside of my hand down from my pinkie finger. I have looked at oher websites and no one seems to have any answers for me. I also have pain, numbness, tingling in my wrist,extending up to my elbow and shoulder,inability to grasp things, and YES the pain wakes me up at nite and sometimes I am unable to go to sleep because of the pain...Please someone answer this!!!!
