I am a 47 year old fibromyalgia patient who recently had an abcess on my intestine and was hospitalized. I've had a barium enema where a very high number of diverticulum were discovered through out my colon. A significant number were located in the sigmoid area. My doctor wants to remove my sigmoid. Has anyone else had this done? Did it help or did you continue to have problems? Anxious to hear from someone. Thanks!
