I was diagnosised with a torn meniscus in my left knee and had surgery on June 2,2000. The operation was ok but I was infected in the operating room w/strepG.After 4 operations I am still not well! I was told they may have to remove my leg at one point but it didnot occur thank God!Strep G is very rare I was told as it is a flesh-eating virus, wow. I am a nurse and this ruined my career. Be very careful of hospital cleanliness and your doctor.I still limp today and am in constant pain.You way email me if I haven`t scared you to death! I`m Sandy Fischer in Bradenton, Florida .later.
