I suffered with the same syptoms for weeks following a rear-end collision car accident. My dentist fitted me with a night gaurd and the releaved the TMJ caused by the whplash. I have worn it while sleeping for 10 years. Recently it wore out and I didn't wear it for 10 days. Within 5 days the horrible headache returned along with the clicking in my ear. I had a new one made and within 3 days I was pain and "noise" free! A good night gaurd is expensive (around $300.) but SO WORTH IT!!!!!
