Hi Joan, Double implants are not real common but they performed with great success. Vision greatly enhanced with two implants at lower powers as opposed one implant at a very high power. The procedure is called piggy- backing. Your doctor definitely has your best interest at heart and must be a skilled surgeon because not all ophthalmologist will perform this procedure. You will really enjoy the better vision you will get and not have to deal with two eyes with very different powers. You would either have to wear a contact lens to make up the difference, glasses rarely help and you make feel imbalanced and nauseated. I hope this helps and good luck!
