Dear Freinds, My father had colon cnacer surgery a little over 3 years ago. About 8-9 months ago, he was told that another tumor had grown near where the surgery was done. He had both chemo & radiation therapy done, and was even taken off early because of his response to it. His problem is that, recently, he has been sufering from painful constipation, alternating with bad diarrhea. The pain has gotten so bad that he was prescribed medication for it, but his doctor simply seems to think it is an afteraffect of the treatments and not too concerned. The doctor did tell my father about a procedure similair to angioplasty for the rectum which could be done, but Dad is concerned that would permanently decrease his bowel control.
