Aaron...I don't know about the sun causing fever blisters, but they do seem to have periods of remission and then return. My husband gets them when he is stressed. A daily dose of L-Lysine is supposed to be great to keep them suppressed. Also, there is supposedly a lemon balm cream which you can apply to the sores to heal them quickly and eliminate some return (?)
