My mother has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She is 59 yrs. young. They are recommending 4 months of chemotherapy, followed by modified radical mastectomy, 4 more months of chemotherapy and then 6-12 weeks of radiation, possibly more. They said this is a "new approach" and I wonder if anyone out there has had this offered to them, or has been through this form of treatment. Please advise a very worried and nervous daughter. Thank you.
