Kathy, I am a 43 year old female who has been suffering with heel pain since I was 27. I've tested positive for the b27 gene associated with AS. I'm currently looking for a good rheum. For years I was told that I had heel spurs. About a year ago I entered a trial study at U.A.B. medical in Birmingham, AL for heel spurs. I was turned down because I had something more and I did not qualify for the trial. The doctor wanted to do surgergy on my heels but I've not committed to that. I hobble around a lot. Anyway I take artrotec 50 (2 at night) which is a prescription and I also take 2 vitamin E 400 mg. with folic acid and b-6/b-12 by Sundown from Wal-Mart and I take 6 primrose oil tablets a day. I take the vitamin E and Primrose Oil for inflammation. All of it seems to help and makes it bareable to walk. If I quit taking any of it I am in unbearable pain. I also take Ester C- 500 mg by Sundown. If you find out anything that helps you, please let me know. My e-mail is Sissy 5775@aol.com Thanks.
