I am 44 yrs old. Had a severe case of DVT diagnosed in July 2000. Was in hospital for 9 days...have been home since. Was doing the heparin injections twice a day and also taking Coumidin. Told it could take months to recover. Has anyone recovered totally or almost back to 100%? If so how long did it take? I am seeing a specialist but I have been told it takes time to recover from this. I was a very active person before this all occured..but the Factor V leiden also enters into the picture. Curious as to how long people have been laid up with DVT as I have not been able to return to work as of yet. Thank you.
