I have had recurring tonsillitis these past 2 months. I'll have it one week and as soon as the antibiotics are done, it comes right back. My worst bout with it is right now. I have had horrible sore throat, my tonsils are white, my neck feel really bruised- my glands are that swollen, and have had a high fever- 103+. I have had tonsillitis in the past but not as much as in the past 2 months. My dr told me if I get it back to see an ear,nose, and throat dr. He said that it is very high risk for someone my age, I am 31, to get a tonsillectomy. Anyone know why? We didnt get into all that at that time. I would like to talk to anyone who has had this done, and find out about the risks.
