Seizures - neurological or physcological????

Nancy

I started having non-epileptic seizures on March 5, 1999. Since that time, I have had every test, have been hospitilized twice, been on several seizure meds and have seen many Dr.s (Shrinks, neurologists, physchologists, MD's, speicalists in epilepsy and even chiropractors). To this day, I still have seizures 2-3 times a week. I have been diagnosed with having Post Traumatic Stress Disorder with delayed response. I don't believe this diagnosis. Yes, there were 2 people in my past who could have abused me sexually, but I have been face to face with these people, I have had hypnosis done and also have talked with a relative who was abused by one of these people, no memories occur at all!!!. The strange thing about these seizures is that although I get an aura of when there going to happen, the times they happen are wild. I am always conscious and can hear people around me but my eyes are closed and I'm unable to respond. I have jerking movements of all body parts but the strange thing is the tightening of my muscles, my stomach which makes breathing difficult and I often hold my breath, my legs tighten,my arms, it's very uncomfortable. The seizures always happen immedietly following a repetitive motion i.e. swaying(in church), shivering, tapping, the other night I did a back flip off the side of the wall at a pool and boom I had one. I ask you does this sound physcological? Not to me, but Dr.s still want to say it is. Has anyone ever experienced these type of seizures and if so please get in touch with me to give me some insight on what you were told about them. I've been looking for answrers for over a year, please help!! Thanks
