Looking for advice regarding my 4 year old daughter's contipation problem. She withheld for so long (15 days) she had to have an emergency enema at the hospital. Never had a hard movement...she just decided she didn't like to go so she stopped! Have tried all the remedies including laxataives, lubricants and now a therapist. This last month she began going regularly (in her diaper) and this last week she "shut down" again because her therapist talked about it openly for the first time to her. Her pediatrician tells us not to talk about it at all since it's a control issue yet the purpose of the therapy IS to discuss it. We are so confused as what the right thing to do is. Afraid that she may be in for some severe health risks later on in life. This has been going on since last August. Any suggestions would be great. She's now on day 9 ! cc c
