I have suffered from ulcerative colitis for 15 years, mostly reasonably controlled, but am now fed up of constantly taking drugs and being in pain. I am considering surgery but don't know whether the severe joint pain I get with the colitis will go away following surgery. I'm not sure I want to go thru' with major surgery if my joint pain is still going to be there. Has anyone been there and can help?
