I know it's possible but what are the symptoms? I hadn't been sexually active in over a year and this was the first occasion. A couple days later a previous girlfriend of his shows up and tells him she's been diagnosed with herpes. He's been tested and been told it's unlikely that he contracted it but his results are not in yet. Meanwhile, three days after our sexual activity, my tonsils are very swollen and I have some minor flu-like symptoms (achey back) and fatigue. Went to the doctor and he thinks it's mono. From what I've read, the incubation period for that virus doesn't fit my circumstances. Does anyone know anything about contracting herpes orally? My gential area is fine. Any help would be most appreciated. --L
