I have a disc bulge at C5-C6 pinching the C5 nerve root. I just had an injection January 15, 2001. They put an IV in my arm for anethesics the put a local in my neck in 2 spots. Then shot dye in my neck to pinpoint exactly where to give the injection. Surprisingly it didn't hurt all that bad. So far I have felt a little relief but was told that it could take a day or two. I have been told that these injections are just a bandaid and not a cure, however I have read a lot of testimonials on here where once you have one surgery you more then likely will have to have another down the road.
