Iam a hodgkin's survivor from 1973 at riverside methodist hospital in columbus ohio. I received 60 radiation treatments, 30 to upper mantle and 30 to lower. I am still alive in 2000, but have lots of severe path damage from radiation. My thyroid, heart, pancreas, gut, intestines, female organs are all badly damaged. I am now terminal. I knew I would be sick while taking these treatments, but no one told me I would die from the treatments 26 years later. Are there any others out there still alive. How many treatments is considered too many? I weigh 68 lbs now; in 1973 I weighed 90 lbs. I have small stature, delicate bone structure and small body. Is treatment regimen based on weight, stage of cancer, or just rads of radiation 4500 for upper etc. divided into 30? Does anyone know the answer to this? Material I could find from Natl Cancer Institute doesn't talk about weight at all. Anyone know. M. Daniel
