Hi Joan. I have AIH and I had symptoms for 2 weeks before my doctors found out what it was. My liver area (right rib cage and below ) ached, Ifelt so tired I couldn't get out of bed, I had hot sweats all night and could not sleep. everything got worse until they pinpointed the problem AutoIHep. As soon as I got on prednisone I started getting better. I also had jaundice and urine turned dark. Serious business be cause liver damage was occuring. Medication will help control it.
