Hello, We built our own healthy home with love, sweat, and tears, and living in Montana with the fresh air made my husband so much better, he was able to go off of disability and is now working full time. The only problem, his job is in Kansas, our home, Montana. We struggled with whether or not to keep the home, but it is very hard to make double payments, so we are looking for a buyer, renter, or caretaker. We would only charge $700.00 per month rent to the right person/people. Hopefully people who would take care of our home the way we would, and not use chemicals in it. Renter, Caretaker or Buyer Home for rent or sale $179,900 or $700 mo. rent Dillon, Montana I'd love to introduce you to our Home: A lovely 20 minute drive away from our home through beautiful Montana takes you to a breathtaking wooded area called Birch Creek, at the base of this mountain is a spring where you can fill all of your water jugs with spring water for free! This was one of my favorite things to do in Montana, Oh, how I miss our private mountain spring! Our home is located on 3/4 of an acre just 3 minutes outside of Dillon, Montana. It backs 11 acres of pasture and is beside a large non-pesticided park with a playground. Imagine a neighborhood with a community non-chlorinated well that is tested monthly. This beautiful 1 year old construction, very aired out 5 bedroom home has 2 master bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The home was designed and built by a chemically injured family who aired it out at each step of the building process (we planned the building of this home for 9 years). The home was built with non-toxic materials and love. Walk onto the 420 square foot redwood deck surrounding the front and side of the 2,100 square foot 2 story home with additional 1,200 square foot of unfinished daylight basement. The basement has a large pantry storage area and a private entrance. Enter through the main part of the home through an etched brass/glass ornate front door with sidelights into your 2 story vaulted ceiling livingroom open concept, breathe in the fresh air from the whole house air purification system. Take your shoes of as you step onto the warm and inviting hardwood/tile flooring. Look up and see the staircase and the balcony of the library with a skylight letting in some of Montana's big sky. Gaze at the 5 different mountain ranges that surround the home as you look out of your big picture windows. Walk over to the cooks kitchen and imagine yourself preparing organic healing foods for yourself with the electric JenAir downdraft glasstop modular stove with griddle and grill inserts (vented outside), and electric JenAir convection oven (top of the line). Cleanup will be a breeze with your JenAir Dishwasher, and garbage disposal. Entertain your friends (you'll make some because Montanan's are a very unscented people) in your kitchen that seats 8-12 around the Jenair cooktop/bar area. They will ooo and awe over your custom solid oak cabinetry, and custom lighting (including undercabinet lighting), pantry, and whole house intercom system. Go over to the Laundry Room, next to the Kitchen with its picture window, utility sink, and exaust system. Beside the laundry room is a full bathroom with custom oak cabinetry. Main floor has 2 spacious bedrooms with palatial walk-in closets. The main floor master bedroom has its own private entrance to the home, and it has custom lighting for a sewing or work area. The second bedroom has a window seat (all five of the bedrooms have bumpouts for window seats, and each of the bumpouts have custom lighting). All of the doors and woodwork in the home are solid wood. Back to the breathetaking front entrance you may choose to go up the hand finished staircase, with wool carpeting, past the antiqued bubble glass wall sconces to the upstairs. Here you will find 3 bedrooms, a library, and another full bath with custom oak cabinetry. Each bedroom has its own special touch, all have palatial walk-in closets, and vaulted ceilings. The master bedroom has an intercom, and its own private deck. The second bedroom has an attic storage area (over the walk-in closets). The third bedroom has an intercom, and a loft (our chemically injured son used this area as a refuge to sleep, and play Nintendo). The library has a skylight, picture window, a balcony that overlooks the lower level. All bedrooms have 2 phone jacks, ample outlets, and are wired with the most sophisticated wire on the market, Cat 5 (our home is also wired for surround sound and speakers throughout the house and deck). The home has central vac, computerized top of the line water softener for Montana's hard water, computerized thermostat (lets face it, the man who built the home you could nick name "inspector gadget" because our home either has or is wired for every contingency), copper pipes, 95% efficency gas furnace, and central air conditioning. If gas is a concern, the furnace can easily be put outside in a shed while still heating the home, but it was never a problem for our family at all. In Montana, electric heat is cost prohibative. I know there are a lot of folks out there that say that they have the cure for environmental illness or multiple chemical sensitivities, and our family had spent over $280,000 dollars on different medical treatments, doctors, health food ideas, and everything under the sun. Truely, the only thing that made our family better so that they can function and live "normal lives" was healing through avoidance of chemicals, molds, and other toxins. Montana has 9 months of winter, so all of the pollens and molds are frozen for 9 months out of the year. For the most part, there is very little pesticide and herbicide use (compared to the midwest where we were from, its about 90% less, and it is all concentrated in the 3 months of summer). The winter's are not as bad as the midwestern winters, because there is very little humidity. Montana is a semi-arid desert climate, so even when it's 50 below, the cold doesn't eat at you bitterly like it does in the midwest. Actually the very cold weather usually only occurs at night, during the day when the sun is out there may be snow on the ground but you only need a light jacket or coat. Montanan's keep the world thinking the winters are terrible so they can keep the area pristine and to themselves, believe me, in the five years we lived there I actually enjoyed winter for the first time in my life. The population of Dillon is about 5000-7000 people, a college town with Western Montana University. Dillon has a hospital, an airport, 2 large grocery stores, a health food store, acupunturists, herbalist's, massage therapists (one of the best theraputic massage schools in the country is in Whitehall, Montana, just 45 min away), churches, very good environmentally friendly schools with teachers that bent over backwards to accomodate my son into school (which he was able to do successfully), chiropractors, many shops, restaurants, and fast food places. It is a town with a lot of character and down home charm. Dillon is 1 hour away from Butte, Montana where there is a Walmart, more healthfood stores, hospitals, naturopathic physicians, an even bigger airport, and chiropractic physicians. Dillon is 2 hours away from Helena and Bozeman Montana. Bozeman has the largest Health food store in Montana, the Coop, and even more doctor's, who treat mcs. Missoula is 2 1/2 hours away from Dillon. Great Falls is 4 hours away from Dillon. Billings is 5 hours away from Dillon. Idaho Falls, Idaho is 1 1/2 hours away from Dillon and it is probably the closest "big city". Living in Montana will save you money because you do not pay any sales tax on anything you purchase in Montana. When you fly into Montana, you can check the rates of all the big cities and compare, sometimes the cheapest rates are from Salt Lake City, Idaho which is five hours away, then to rent a non smoking car and drive to Dillon.
