today I have found that i think i too have temporal lobe epilepsy. I am 23 years old, but I have never had a seizure. All the other symptoms seem to match up. some of these were : sleep disorders(insomnia, and deep sleeps) phantom pains in my joints, compulsive actions, violent outbursts, facial and other motor tics, probles with very fast or 3-d games that would result sometimes in headache and panic and insomnia. For many years i thought that i had tourettes syndrome because there are many similarities, but the only medication that ever worked was CARBATROL or tegretol. That is an anti- seisure medication that was prescribed once as a test and it worked well. but there are some bad side effects. This medication is never prescribed for tourettes but is a regular drug for epilepsy.
