If anyone has any suggestions on how to best help my friend I would greatly appreciate it. My friend recently recovered from pneumonia only to find that she has leukemia. She works a lot of hours each week and has no medical insurance. Doctors are trying to arrange for medicare or something else to help pay for the chemotherapy which she has to have. To add to this, her husband has had many heart attacks and can no longer work so she is the breadwinner. What can she do to keep her home? She has worked very hard and needs some assistance. Is there a foundation or some organization that can help her? The doctors say she has only 3 years left...she is concerned about her family. If anyone can help me let me know. Thank you.
