I'm a survivor, also. Had polio in 1946 at age 2 years old. My PPS started about 10 years ago. It excellerated 3 years ago when I broke my knee cap. I have all the same problems you do. Its an effort just to walk from the front door, to my car. Couldn't get any help from established medical community. I heard of a study using "Acetyl-L-Carnitine". Started taking 3,000 to 4,000 mg. daily. It HELPS! My legs have more strength....don't hurt like they used to, and I'm able to still function. I'm not mountain climbing or taking long walks, but I am able to get myself around. I was off the Acetyl-L-Carnitine for 45 days and couldn't believe how weak my legs were. Had a hard time just getting around the house. I know I'll never let my self run out of it again. I know this stuff works for muscle fatigue.
