                        i have had ibs for several years.  the only things that have helped me is to #1. drink plenty of water #2. avoid caffeine(in soda, tea, chocolate,etc.) #3. avoid raw fruits and vegetables  #4. take metamucil at bedtime or 1or 2 fibercon at night.  finally some relief. it will take about 10 days to get things right but well worth it.
