Mid January/2001 I had severe stomach pains. xrays were done & ultra sound xrays showed impacted stools, ultrasound normal.A barium test was done,results suspected diverticulitis, then a CT scan was done of the abdomen & pelvis with oral & intravenous contrast. The scan was normal, however, evidence of a small 1x1 cm left renal cyst Bosniac type "1" showed on scan. Can anyone explain what is a Bosniac type cyst "1" is this a common occurence in the kidney, should this be attended or left alone ? Thank you.
