For the last several weeks I have been having severe cramping in my foot (usually it is either the right or left, seldom both together). It happens in the evening. My big toe becomes bent toward the other four toes (as if there were a magnet drawing it closer). I am also unable to move the toe away from the other ones (unless I just pry them apart with my fingers, but it is very painful). I don't think it is the shoes I wear, because it happens regardless of what I wear. Also last evening (Feb. 29, 2001) for the first time, my left hand cramped up and my thumb bent toward the other fingers ( it was as if, it too, were a magnet, holding my thumb to the fingers; like it was glued there). This has been so weird; normally, I just ignor pain, but this has been very painful. Does any one have any idea what is going on? I am only 41 years old and a mother of three young boys; please help. Thank you! :)
