My brother and sister had aneurysms and recovered with surgery to clamp off the blook leakage which meant a long recovery (not remembering how to put sentences together, not able to bathe themselves properly, transposing words, numbers, etc. Both surgeries were done at the Medical Center in Richmond, VA (wonderful surgeons). This was several years ago. We were told that this type of aneurysm was common with the polycystic kidney disease, along with enlarged heart and liver. My brother lived 16 years with a kidney transplant afterbeing dialyzed for 3 years on the kidney machine and my sister is still living, age 69 and has maintained a job with a kidney transplant, although she is having great difficulty walking now from injuries she has sustained.
