I have had a tracheostomy since Nov. 20, 2000. It is due to paralyzed vocal cords. Not from any injury or trauma, no one knows what happened, it just did. It is a difficult thing to deal with and I am interested in communicating with anyone who may have to be living with this problem. I think sharing the experience would be very helpful.
