Hi. I like you have chocolate cyst, endometrial implants that are peppered(meaning they are all over my reproductive organs) and adhesions on my colon. A hysto is a permanent solution. But after that there is hormone replacement therapy. How old are you? Do you want children and if not are you 100% sure? As far as I know, no endo will not continue to grow if the uterus is taken out because endo is caused from the inside of the uterus(endometrium) escaping and implanting itself wherever it can whether it be ovaries, follopain tubes or your colon or bladder. How much pain are you experiencing? These are all questions you must ask yourself. Have you tried oral contraceptives? Sometimes these will slow down the process and helps in controlling your pain. Knowledgde is power. You must be your own advocate. Do as much research as possible. Is this situation life threatening? These are the issues that I've been dealing with as well. My only surgical option is a hysto. I'm not ready. It's very extreme. It's unreversable. Your Dr. does not always know what is best for you(personally) don't be talked into something that you are not ready to do. Get a second opinion. Best of luck to you. I'd love to hear what you've decided.
