I had low back surgery 11 years ago right lumbar(lamenectomy). I am now left with chronic S1 bilateral radiculopathy. I just recently had another EMG uppper & lower, and MRI. The EMG shows that I have chronic radiculopathy at the C8 T1 level. The MRI shows that there is a herniated disk at the C5 C6 level and C6 C7 there is an abnormally centrally located buldging disk probably caused from the herniated disk above. I am supose to start physcial therapy and go see the surgeon that operated on my lower back. I have headaches all the time and muscle spasms in both arms and numbness and tingling in both hands and fingers. My low back,I have a hard time walking, standing, and sitting for very long. Muscle spasms in both legs and numbness and tingling in both of my feet. Hip pain and in the buttocks, feels as if there is something wrapped around the calfs of my legs and groin pain also shooting pain. This has been going on for the past three years and there is little or nothing that can be done except for medications. The medications neurontin helps to take the burning pain away. Does anyone have any advice on the cervical spine. I am very afraid of having to have more surgery. Any comments would be appreciated. Thankyou for reading this.
