My husband has sores on his fingers near the joint area of the finger. The skin looks very thick like callusus which will crack and bleed. His skin is not helped by mositurizers. My husband does have arthritis which will cause his hands to swell. These callused looking areas have gotten infection in them and become very painful. What type of doctor needs to look into this problem.
