I had a herniated disc of C6 & C7 and possibly the upper thoracic disc for a year and half now. The condition has worsened with the disc now completely collapsed and pinching the nerve. I have tried prolotherapy injections from December to May that exacerbated the condition worse. I have tried physical therapy, that had to be discontinued due to the lack of significant improvement, I have tried mulitiple medication regeims to try to alleviate the chronic severe pain. I had tried acupuncture, to no avail and chiropractic treatments that have assisted in increase range of motion, however, the pain has remained severe, and I have severe insomnia. I am considering cervical fusion. I would like statistics on the success rate of this surgery and/or any other suggestions for treatment of. I have also tried yoga and herbalife remedies that have given temporary relief. I have tried homepathy and flower essences and rescue remedy to no avail. I have been unable to work for a year and half and will be unable to return to my previous profession as a nurse. I am at the end of my rope, I cannot stand much more of the chronic pain and insomnia.
