I am in serious need on information - has anyone who has been studying this diesease, or associating with others who have this ever heard of such a young person having aplastic anemia? My son was put in the hospital at 4 weeks of age because of severe low blood counts - platelets 4,000, hemoglobin 4.0. In the beginning his white count wasn't too bad, now 8 weeks his ANC fluctuates between 200 and 600. After 2 bone marrow biopsy's, a skin biopsy and several blood stains and tests, they cannot find any "reason" for his bone marrow failure. Therefore, they are beginning to think it's AA. The only glitch - no one has ever heard of such a young baby having it. Has anyone ought there? The youngest I've heard of so far is 3. Thanks. Allie
