15 yr old son just had surgery yesterday to remove remaining remnants. I did not know that this fell under the category of "trisomy 13". I just have concerns as to why this defect, where it came from, and does he have any reason for concern when he has his own children. Was this an abnormality carried by me? He has 4 older siblings with no such known disorders. I just need valued information as a "MOM"
