My mother has been showing signs of dementia, but is reluctant to get a diagnosis or treatment. Sometimes she is completely "normal," but sometimes she doesn't recognize my father or me. I want to force her to get treatment, but my father sides with her when she is coherent and says nothing is wrong. Any advice--for her and for me to deal with this?
