There has got to be some relief somewhere - I am desperate! I am a healthy 28 year old female who has dealt with bouts of canker sores for years now. I always used to get one or two in the past and I chalked that up to being hereditary because my father dealt with cankers. But over the last 5 years or so I am usually dealing with at least 6-8 at one time. I can't eat or drink and my doctor tells me that its just a virus and it has to pass in its own time. The one thing that i do find unusual, and i have not read anything about this in the other posts, is that whenever i get an outbreak my glands swell. Is this normal?? I have tried over the counter creams and gels for protection, but they do nothing to speed up the healing process. And I cannot pinpoint any one thing that i eat or drink to cause these. HELP!
