I have been fighting dry eyes now for 3 years. Been to 5 specialist - same verdict, no known cure. Have had my lower tear ducts seared closed - no help from that. Have tried every known eye drop . . . . small relief from those. My last Dr. says a new drop is to be on the market this summer, and he has high hopes for it. He did not give me the name of the medication, but has me at the top of his list of patients he will call when it is available. I have arthritis somewhat, and my age (72) I guess is against me with this problem. And WHAT A PROBLEM!! Just like sand in my eyes especially in the late afternoon and evenings! Only relief is to just go to bed. But I keep praying something will be on the market which will solve this awful condition!
