can't diagnose illness

My father suffers episodes where his pulse drops in the fifties. He turns gray and breaks out in a sweat that soaks his clothes. He has trouble breathing and we can't get him to respond. We call the rescue squad, take him to the hospital, and he usually comes out of it but suffers from short term memory loss. He knows where he is but doesn't remember the ride or what he last did before going to the hospital. He usually doesn't know what time or what day it is and keeps asking over and over again util his memory gradually comes back. We are afraid that one time he won't get his memory back or worse. After he is admitted they run every possible test on him keeping him a couple of days. Everything always come back negative. He has had several small attacks in between the worse ones where we take him to the hospital. One doctor says heart and another says no its neurological. He has had EKG, EEG, blood work of every kind, stress tests, cat scans, pulmonary tests, tilt tests, cartoid in neck, etc. ALL NEGATIVE!! I can't believe that he is the only person on this planet who suffers from these symptoms with no hunch from any of the specialist as what could be wrong. He has seen cardiololist, neurologist, pulmonary doctor, internalist. He hasn't had a catherization but he passes the stress test. He has been tested for seisures. We are at our wits end. Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.
