I was diagnosed with this disease in January of 2001. I was almost completely blind before the doctors could figure out what was wrong and get me admitted to the hospital. On my second spinal tap my pressure went above the scale used. They finally did surgery and put in a lumbar peritoneal shunt. I am now legally blind having lost all peripheral vision and some of my regular vision. I go to 2 different doctors a month and am now receiving treatment for depression caused by this. I am desperately looking for someone in the Greenville, SC or surrounding area that has this disease. Please contact me. I am scared, upset, and feel so alone.
