Hello, and thanks to everyone who takes time to read this, and whatever help or advice you can offer me. I am a 43 yr. old woman, recently diagnosed with a cyst on my brain, and hydrocephalus. Hedaches and hed pressure are terrible and constant. My doctor has talked a little about a shunt, but has offered me nex to nothing in the way of educating me about this, other treatment options, or long-term effects. I have no idea what to expect, and this is very scary. Can anyone out there help me to learn more about this, what my options are, and what the effect might be if I don't havethe shunt surgery?
