i have been struggling with left upper extremity weakness, chest pain, severe fatigue and some swelling around the neck, chest and underarms. this has been going on since mid april. up until recently, all tests came back ok, including tests for lupus, cardiac tests, chest xrays, etc. recently i had an mri which showed two small spots on my brain although nothing on the spinal cord. muscle and nerve testing verified the left sided weakness. i have a lot of pain particularly in my left shoulder and around to the back. sometimes my left arm feels heavy and becomes very cold compared to my right. recent lab tests came back noting o.k. hemoglobin but low red blood cells, low hemacrit and "morphology abnormal" which apparently is related to the blood cells being oval shaped instead of normal. so far, no one is able to give me a diagnosis other than to say that it could possibly be early signs of ms. i am getting very frustrated and depressed as i am usually a very active person and my functioning is very poor right now. any ideas would be greatly appreciated!!! thanks!!
