I read your note on your five surgeries in two years....I only had two surgeries in one and one/half years. I had acute appendicitis....was not found immediately, so I had 7 abcesses in the colon and a ruptured appendix resulting in a 9 inch scar from below my navel to just below my sternum. This then became an abdominal hernia which developed "nicely" over the next year. I finally had the abdominal hernia surgery last Thursday - October 4th and was in the hospital until the 6th. The doctor told me to wear this binder until it is completely healed. I asked him how long that would be and he said it would be a month or two. But, I am also trying to find some websites that include "physical therapy" for abdominal hernia repair so I can avoid future problems, too. Do you know of any sites like this and do you wear a binder around your waist? It really did help me two weeks before the operation as well as now. Bob
