My mother has sciatica and goes through bouts of severe pain. It only seems to occur down her left leg and not in her back, yet, when it hits, it is extremely debilitating and she cannot move. She is going for an MRI on Friday as surgery seems to be the only route she hasn't tried to stop the pain. Has anybody gone the surgery route before with laminectomies or microdecompressions? I would appreciate hearing any of your experiences and advice about the surgeries. Ever so grateful, Becky If anyone has good advice, please email me.
