                        I've found that it helps to avoid acidic foods like tomato based, and fruits after 6 p.m.  also, chocolate, especially dark chocolate, is a problem.  Also I've read that lying on the left side helps.  Usually when I get reflux I can stop it if I take a hefty dose of Night Time (Mylanta or Maalox, can't remember) as soon as I get the symptoms.
