It took at least 6 months for me to even think I felt any relief when taking Elmiron. Although I have been taking it for 18 months, I still don't know if I really feel any better. Elmiron is not a pain reliever, though. Have you investigated or tried mendications specifically for pain and/or urgency? There are several that you could try. The website www.ichelp.org has lots of good information. Good luck. Keep looking until you find what works for you.
