When my son was 9 years old, he had the same symptoms, plus he had blood in his urine. He had kidney stones. The pain moved from his back to his side, and then to the lower front. Your son also might have kidney infection. Is he running a fever at all? You should take him to the doctor, and get him checked out. We also had food poisoning 5 years ago, and we did not hurt in our backs. We had severe diarrhea, severe vomiting, and a headache. Those are the symptoms of food poisoning. Go get checked out by a doctor if the pain in his back continues. Good Luck!
